The Birthing Clinic

An increasing number of women need more than the normal care during and after delivering their babies. The Birthing clinic of The Hague has been set up to provide women and their partners with optimum care and guidance. With us, they are given 24-hour care in a peaceful environment.
The Birthing Clinic can also offer optimum support, care and guidance because they work in close cooperation with others, including midwives and the Medical Center Haaglanden (MCH), Westeinde location.

Internal Connection with the hospital

The Birthing Clinic is located next to the MCH, Westeinde location. There is an internal connection to the hospital so that you are in the right department within five minutes. If there is a medical complication, we notify the department in question that you are coming and we then bring you there.

The homelike environment, the quiet atmosphere and the personal 24-hour care ensure that your lying-in period is as pleasant an experience as possible. Nearly every room has its own bathroom, cable television with DVD player, internet connection and room service. There are 2 delivery rooms, each with a large bathtub in which you can give birth to your baby.

Extra guidance and support

For questions concerning breastfeeding, you may call in the lactation consultant (breastfeeding specialist) at the Birthing Clinic.
The stay
There is the possibility for the partner (or guest) to spend the night and a special area has been set up where you can receive visitors.

Many clients would like to stay in the hospital a bit longer before they return to their families. However, healthy people do not belong in the hospital. The Birthing Clinic combines the advantages of a home birth with the extra care of the clinic.
